Holiday shopping can be a truly enjoyable experience – when it’s done right. The first key is to get it done as early as possible. My own personal nightmare would involve last-minute gift shopping at the Westfield on Market or the Macy’s in Union Square among throngs of wandering tourists. I doubt anyone ever wants to do last-minute shopping, however it tends to happen to the best of us. I avoid this by creating a list of everyone that I want to buy gifts for each year. Starting sometimes as early as September, I start adding things to the list as I peruse stores and catalogues.
All this being said, sometimes it’s hard to get specific, personalized gifts for everyone (co-workers, boyfriend’s sister, etc.) so it’s nice to have more ‘generic’ lists that would be fitting for most women. I usually find that big department stores can be biased when putting together these lists, as they obviously can only include items that they sell. Hence the reason for this post. Here’s a roundup of my top 10 gifts for women, all under $50. Enjoy!
